Show Notes

This edWeb podcast is hosted by edWeb.
The webinar recording can be accessed here.

When the pandemic hit, schools around the world were closed, thrusting educators, students, and parents into a crisis as learning moved online. In this edWeb podcast, the Georgia Department of Education Social Studies team and state education leaders describe how their virtual learning communities on edWeb.net helped them support educators, and their students and parents, during this time of crisis.

The GaDOE Social Studies Department had the foresight to launch these communities five years ago, so their programs were in place when the pandemic hit. The presenters discuss how edWeb was able to help with the specific needs of the pandemic.

Educators have commented during this past year that “virtual professional learning is one of the big wins of the pandemic.” Listen to this edWeb podcast to learn how the GaDOE Social Studies team and state education leaders use the free platform, edWeb.net, to create engaged, online professional learning communities, creating a sustainable solution for personalized PD during the pandemic and beyond.

This edWeb podcast is of interest to all educators including state, school, and district leaders and teachers. There will be time for questions at the end of the presentation.
